Tree: A Life Story

“Only God can make a tree,” wrote Joyce Kilmer in one of the most celebrated of poems. In Tree: A Life Story, authors David Suzuki and Wayne Grady extend that celebration in a “biography” of this extraordinary—and extraordinarily important—organism. A story that spans a millennium and includes a cast of millions but focuses on a single tree, a Douglas fir, Tree describes in poetic detail the organism’s modest origins that begin with a dramatic burst of millions of microscopic grains of pollen.

Are there any plans for Dr Suzuki to visit his supporters east of Ottawa? Halifax is nice!

Hi Suzanne! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, there are no plans for David to visit Halifax on the Letters to My Grandchildren tour. However, will we definitely keep Halifax in mind when planning future tours!

We have written a book on playing an active role in raising your grandchildren, called Granny Get Your Glue Gun.
It is a book filled with crafts and fun thing to do when the grandkids get dropped off at your door.
I know Dr Suzuki has also written a book for his grandchildren and am trying to contact him to see if he would endorse our Grandparent book?
I would be happy to send him a preview and talk to him further.
    Thanks for your time
